Malaysia's will celebrate the 56th



This 31st August 2013, Malaysia's will celebrate the 56th Independence Day or 'Merdeka' in Malay Language. See the open air concert on the eve of Merdeka day on 30 August. The colourful parade will be held on the morning of the Merdeka Day.

The Merdeka day celebration is held in every major city in Malaysia.

James Wan (born 27 February 1977) is a Malaysian-born film producer, screenwriter and film director. He is widely known for directing the horror film Saw and creating Billy the puppet.

James Wan was born in Kuching, Sarawak, Malaysia. James Wan was 11 years of age when he first dreamed of making films and his tertiary studies were undertaken at the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology (RMIT), where he completed his Bachelor of Arts degree.

Singapore Meehoon



This is Malaysia's dish that been named by its nearest neighbour which is Singapore. Actually you can find a lot of meehoon version in all Asian country. But in Malaysia, we do have the spicy one, the soy-sauce one, the gravy one, and this mild version which is called by the local Malaysian as "Bihun Singapura".

Bihun Singapura is a chinese-style of fried meehoon with a mix of seafood. The taste is mild with a taste of black pepper, garlic and white pepper. It is decorated with grated omelette and chillies.


AIR SIRAP BANDUNG




This is Malaysia's beverage that been named by the place in Indonesia which is Bandung. Actually this beverage you can find in so many places, but local Malaysian called this as "Air Sirap Bandung". In Indonesia, they called it as "Air Soda Gembira" (Happy Soda Drink).

Air sirap bandung is an added milk syrup drinks. It is preferable to use either condensed milk or sweetened m
ilk. Some people love to add soda to increase their freshness.



Melaka Traditional House



Melaka traditional house with it's famous unique form of the stairs called "TANGGA BATU (stone stairs) "made of bricks and concrete. The stairs structure have some of Chinese architecture with unique and colourfultiles design which is imported from Europe, Holland, Japan and China.

The use of colourful tiles design shows that the influence of Malay, Chinese and European cultural mix and this has make it an identity of a Malay house like the "tangga batu" of "Rumah Melaka".

Various stair designs and styles exist in this architecture with the touch of local expert craftmanships during that time. The stairs alsorepresents the status of the owner of the house during those days. The rich usually use expensive tiles imported from European or China.
